Whether you are new to the industry or a seasoned pro we will cover tips and tricks for anyone needing to hire and work with a professional photographer for job site photos. Inside Out Studios will be covering a few best practices when it comes to hiring a photographer, how to stage and set-up for a shoot, lighting tips and more. They will also cover things like copyrights, unlimited usage, third party usage and buyout and what that means for you and your company. And don’t worry we won’t “drone” on about the basics, but there will be a pretty cool teaser at the end of the event!

About the Speakers

Rick PetersRick Peters, Co-Owner, Inside Out Studios

Rick Peters, is a co-owner of InsideOut Studios and specializes in architectural and location photography.  

Besides capturing aerial photography and video via plane or helicopter, he is also a pilot and often uses his drone to capture footage for client projects.  When Rick isn’t working, he likes to spend time with his family on their boat cruising down the St. Croix River.  He also enjoys diving and has been known to explore shipwrecks in the seas and oceans all over the world.   He also participates as a photographer in “Honor Flights,” an organization that sends Minnesota war veterans to Washington, D.C., to visit the WWII monument and other sites.

Peggy WellerPeggy Weller, Account Manager, Inside Out Studios
Peggy Weller spent several years at some well-known Fortune 500 companies working as a marketing and public relations professional. She left the corporate world of policies, procedures, and staff meetings for the creative world of photography where the dress code is trendy casual and the studio walls are every color BUT cubicle beige!

Her responsibilities include sales and account management, and she’s been known to occasionally guest lecture at colleges to aspiring graphic designers about how to buy photography. In her spare time she serves on the editorial board of AIA Minnesota Magazine and can be seen as a regular door greeter at some of AIA Minnesota’s events.

Terza KurkiTerza Kurki, Senior Marketing Coordinator, LHB
Terza has over 19 years of experience in the architectural and engineering industry. She has worked on the marketing side since 2004 coordinating marketing and advertising material. Terza specializes in creating materials for the commercial, healthcare, and industrial sectors. In addition, she coordinates the professional photography for the Minneapolis office. One of her highlights is working with the designer and the client to capture the best photos of the completed projects. Internally, Terza assists training staff in the Deltek Vision database, InDesign, and other programs as needed. Currently she is involved with developing a lean process for business development. Terza has been an active member of SMPS since 2004 and has had involvement with the Professional Development, Membership, and Communications committees.
