About the Speaker

Julie has over 25 years of experience in marketing professional services for architecture, engineering and construction firms. As the Director of Marketing for HGA, she is responsible for strategic marketing planning and brand management for the firm’s seven offices located in Minneapolis and Rochester, Minnesota;  Milwaukee, Wisconsin;  Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Sacramento, California.

She is a frequent speaker for professional organizations throughout the U.S. and has presented at national conferences for the Associated General Contractors (AGC), National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC), American Consulting Engineers Council (ACEC) and SMPS.  She has conducted workshops for Georgia Tech University, Atlanta, AIA Minnesota, and was the instructor of an eight-week course on marketing for architects at the University Of Minnesota College Of Design.  Luers has been a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) for 28 years.  She served as President of the Twin Cities Chapter, National SMPS President (1996-97), and President of the SMPS Foundation (1996-98), and is the 2003 recipient of the SMPS Marketing Achievement Award.
